She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Florida, her Master’s Degree of Science in Audiology from the University of South Florida. She completed her Doctorate in Audiology from AT Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2003.
Dr. Steed worked at the Sarasota outreach of All Children’s Hospital, with a pediatric rehabilitation team diagnosing and treating infants, children, and adults with hearing loss and hearing aids for 13 years. Concurrently, she provided and continues to provide hearing evaluations for veteran’s through the Sarasota outreach of the CW Bill Young VA Medical Center.
A Sarasota native, Tonya Steed has a wealth of experience and knowledge. Mom of three, one with special needs, and over twenty years practicing Pediatric Audiology in Sarasota, Dr. Steed can help you understand how to best help your child who may be struggling with auditory processing issues.
